Editorial Policies

Publication Frequency
The Journal of Qur'anic Behavioral Sciences (JQBS) is published biannually (twice a year, in January and July). Special issues may be considered for emerging topics within the journal’s scope, subject to approval by the editorial board.

Article Selection Criteria
Manuscripts submitted to JQBS undergo a rigorous editorial screening and double-anonymous peer review. Submissions are evaluated based on:
§  Originality and contribution to the field of decision sciences, behavioral sciences, and the integration of Islamic revelation with empirical research.
§  Theoretical and methodological rigor.
§  Relevance to the journal’s focus on field research (quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, or systematic literature reviews).
§  Clarity of presentation and adherence to academic writing standards.
§  Compliance with ethical guidelines and avoidance of plagiarism.

Language Policy
The journal accepts manuscripts written in English (US). Authors are expected to ensure grammatical accuracy and clarity of expression. Submissions that do not meet the language standards may be returned for revision or require professional editing prior to peer review.

Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could influence the objectivity of the research, its review, or its publication. Conflicts of interest may include financial, institutional, collaborative, or personal relationships that may affect scholarly judgment.

Archiving and Repository Policy
The journal implements digital archiving to ensure long-term preservation of published content. Articles are actively deposited in the Public Knowledge Project's Private LOCKSS Network (PKP PN) to safeguard scholarly materials against data loss. In addition, the journal encourages authors to self-archive their submitted version, accepted manuscript (Author Accepted Manuscript), and published version (Version of Record) in institutional or disciplinary repositories, provided proper citation of the published version in the Journal of Qur'anic Behavioral Sciences (JQBS) is included.

Corrections and Retractions
In cases where errors, ethical breaches, or instances of misconduct are identified in published articles, the journal will issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in line with COPE guidelines.
